Scheduled to be completed in March 2023, the REXDAN research vessel was launched for the first buoyancy tests on October 20, 2022, at the ATG Shipyard in Giurgiu.


The Faculty of Letters within “Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, through the Dean, Professor Simona ANTOFI Ph.D., is a partner, along with the Institute of Romanian Philology "Bogdan Petriceicu-Hasdeu" of the State University of Moldova, in a project financed by the Francophone University Agency, entitled: La recherche sur l'imaginaire littéraire- artistic. The third edition of the Top World Ranking of Scientists 2% of the most important scientists in the world (ranking made by Stanford University, together with Elsevier Publishing and SciTech Strategies) was published recently.


Between October 3 - 7, 2022, in Leuven, Belgium, an Innovation Camp took place within the Erasmus+ project "Digitalization of water industry by innovative graduate water education / DIGIWATER". The theme of this Innovation Camp, which was attended by mixed teams from the six partner countries of the project (Norway, Romania, Germany, Belgium, Cyprus, and Turkey), was the use of modern technologies (IoT, Big Data, etc.) in solving current problems in the water industry.


Between October 19-21, 2022, the international conference ICSTCC 2022 - 26th International Conference on System Theory, Control, and Computing takes place. The conference is organized in the Joint Conference system by the Faculty of Automation, Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering from "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, together with the specialized faculties from the University of Craiova, the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University from Iasi, the Polytechnic University from Timisoara, and the Technical University from Cluj-Napoca.


Between October 19-21, 2022, the 2nd edition of the International Interdisciplinary Francophone Conference Migration and Minorities, organized by the Faculty of History, Philosophy, and Theology, through the Center for East-European Historical and Socio-Cultural Studies, will be held.

“Dunărea de Jos'' University of Galati organizes a new admission session for two distance learning and part-time study programmes. There are 8 places at the Faculty of Engineering and Agronomy in Brăila, specialising in Agriculture – part-time study programme (in Buzău) and 17 places at the Faculty of Letters, specialising in Romanian Language and Literature - English Language and Literature – distance learning (in Galați).
